I’ve decided to take the day off see you tomorrow CIAO.

Well that’s another week gone I think I mentioned that Valentine’s day isn’t until September down here and don’t bother asking why because I don’t know. It will probably be pretty quiet down here for awhile since it’s Lent and this is a very Catholic country. There will be a lot of interest in the election of a new Pope, of course they hope for a Latino to be elected. I wouldn’t say that it wasn’t possible but it sure isn’t probable. The church likes to have Pope that isn’t liberal and they really don’t want a progressive one. They like their Popes on the conservative side so that all their secrets will be safe. Ok don’t get me started on that Jeff might hear me then he’ll get involved and we’ll have a twenty page rant from him. I hope there’s some soccer this weekend or something otherwise Jeff will get bored and want to play with me and I’d rather sleep. Well if anything exciting happens I might be back later if not CIAO.

Well it looks like Chicken Little might be right this time when he screams the sky is falling. It seems that a Meteorite hit in Russia and an Asteroid is going to pass so close to the Earth that if somebody coughs it’s liable to hit us. Now I’m not going to tell you it’s the end of the world but let’s take a look at the last couple of weeks. There have been Earthquakes big storms strange things seen in the sky, maybe it is time to get ready to kiss your ass goodbye. But in the mean time the sun is shining and the weekend is pone us so let’s all go out and have some fun it might be the last chance you get, as for me I’m just going to go to sleep and wakeup and then I’ll either be here or I won’t CIAO.

Well I don’t think Jeff will be going to Hari house for awhile as you can see from the picture some unwanted guests are hanging out in a tree by the side walk. They are a South American version of the mud wasp only these guys like to hang out together and are very aggressive. Jeff says he hasn’t been able to find out if there venom is as bad as the ones up there, which is similar to a black widow spider, if it is these guys would be worse since they attack in mass and are about one and a half times larger than the one up there and don’t forget we have a lot of killer bees down here too. Ok enough scary talk Real Madrid and Manchester city played to a one one tie yesterday but it was a really exciting game. This is some of the best soccer of the year it’s like NBA NFL and NCAA playoffs it seems like everybody saves their best for this series. Well I’m still a little shook up from the bee story so I’m going to do a little catnip and take a nap CIAO.

Today is going to be headline day on account of I have nothing else to talk about. First up Lady Gaga can’t walk well she can’t sing either. Second 350 lb running back and they want to know why people get hurt playing football. Third   up Katy baby bump photo is this really news. Fourth one best gifts under ten dollars, for men are you kidding a cup of coffee and a Danish cost more than that. No. five Antarctica not Bikini friendly so tell us something we don’t know. I think that’s enough for today there is a good soccer game on this afternoon Real Madrid vs Manchester United should prove exciting it a Championship League game and there always good. I’ll be back tomorrow to discuss it CIAO.

I hope you guys realize that since I sleep 17 to 18 hours a day I have to rely on Jeff to tell me what’s going on the only problem with that is that he doesn’t have a clue himself. Now this makes writing a daily blog extremely difficult if you know what I mean and not only do I have to come with something interesting to say here but then I have to go help Jeff with his book, annoy Ruby, and play with Hari. It more than cat should have to endure and remember I have to do all this in about seven hours so I don’t lose any beauty sleep. Now as for today the only thing anybody is talking about is the Pope resigning now I happen to think that’s a smart decision on his part he not getting any younger and his health is bad. Most people especially athletes manage to hang around too long and embarrass themselves before they retired think him leaving on his own terms is a good idea. He may not have been the greatest Pope but he seemed like a nice person trying to do the right thing in a difficult job. Now there are those who will say he covered up scandals but that’s more or less his job to protect the church was it the right decision way to go about it only the future will be able to judge that. Well I’m not a religious cat so I really don’t have anything else to say right now I guess I’ll be back tomorrow CIAO.

It’s just another sunny Sunday in Colombia I know I complain about the rain all the time but rarely does the weather in Bello stay the same all day long. It may start out beautiful and suddenly it’s raining then you get a great sunset or may a beautiful rainbow ,all I can tell you it beats the hell out getting up and having to shovel you car out. Oh please don’t hate me for living in a warm environment we all made choices in our lives as to where we were going to live and work. I wasn’t planning on Colombia until Jeff married Ruby and came for a visit if we weren’t retired we wouldn’t have moved here as there is no work unless you’re degreed and want to work for the government. So I had Jeff find a nice picture of a sunny beach now you can just close your eyes and pretend you’re down here with us and not looking out at snow that’s melting and starting to turn black and while you’re doing that I’m going over to my window seat and soak up some sun CIAO

Well this is a strange day every where a major snow storm in the north east United States and a 6.9 earthquake down here. I don’t have to tell the guys up in America about the snow storm they’re living it, but I got tell you about the earthquake. It was far south of us and from what they say did no damage but if you’re sitting in the tenth floor of an eleven story building and you here this rumble and the building starts to shake and sway a little you and you there’s absolutely nothing you can do except bend over and kiss your ass goodbye. It’s definitely not the way I want to start my Saturday morning. I looked up at Jeff and, he’s was in California when they had the last big one in Las Angles, he did not look happy. I went and hid in the closet and started praying to the cat Gods. Ruby just looked at Jeff and said Earthquake and of course when it was over she said no big thing, but I think she went to change her underwear. This is the second one we’ve felt down here and counting all the small ones and the one big one Jeff was in it adds up to six. Jeff says that’s enough it’s why he doesn’t like living in tall buildings (or at least that’s one excuse) but I guess the way the world is now it don’t make too much difference where you are. That’s why cats just go out and live there live and don’t worry about tomorrow if it comes cool if not we won’t know and with that I say CIAO.

Friday and the North east United States is looking to get a blizzard, for those of you in Colombia who have never  experienced a blizzard take your worst experience with rain and multiply it by at least 5. But remember it also hangs around for days so take that into consideration as well and unlike rain your car is going nowhere during a blizzard. The worst storm Jeff remembers was around 1979  he was trapped in the restaurant where he worked for a day and a half the major roadway to his house was close for two days when he got home he couldn’t park his car. Things tend to get back to normal fairly fast in the metropolitan area mostly because they don’t seem to get as much snow as the rural areas and temperatures tend to rise quite quickly after the storm. Jeff’s wife Ruby hates snow and Jeff isn’t that fond of it either once, he says right after the storm when you go out and no one  has shoveled or walked or driven on it it’s beautiful but later it gets black and nasty and no fun at all. So all you people up there take care and if you have time send us a story about how you did in the storm CIAO.
