I have to tell you thinking of something to write in this blog everyday is a drag. You guys remember I’m a cat right that means I’m supposed to sleep an average of 17 hours a day and this dam blog is starting to keep me up. I go to bed and try to sleep and my mind stars going what the hell am I going to write about tomorrow. Mean time the old guy (Jeff) is sleeping like a baby this has got to stop. From now on I’m giving some of the responsibility of this blog to Jeff so he can stay awake at night trying to think of something interesting to write about, so now I’m going back to be until Monday this Flounder saying CIAO (YAWN) from Medellin.

By now everyone knows Paula Dean was fired from the Food Network and has several deals cancelled, she will lose millions all this because a long time ago she said the word nigger not yesterday a long time ago. No one has seen any recent evidence of racism or bigotry from her. Richard Pryor would probably be in jail today for all the time he used the word. You better make sure no knows about the time you were drunk and walked into the ladies room realized it yelled fuck and walked out you would lose your job and everything else. This is an example of a few radical minds trying to make us all politically correct. I used to sit in study hall as a high schooler and listen to all the, what’s the correct word now Black, African people of color, who cares anyway they would be busting on each other with things like your mother is so black the call her Invisible woman at night. It was nothing to hear hey nigger you going to the party tonight? My nephew down here refers to all his friends (mostly white or Hispanic) as what’s up my niggas. It took me awhile to figure out what to write about today since things are so quiet down here. I choose gay marriage because it seems to cause a lot of conversation. In Jeff’s family some support some like Ruby don’t know why they want to get married and others think it’s a crime against God. Jeff has had gay friends since high school and supports gay marriage. He feels that if they love each enough to put up with all the grief and such well then they should get all the same benefits that the rest of us do. Throughout history people have used passages from the Bible or other religious writings to support bigoted behavior. Jeff thinks that it would be a good thing if people started to talk about the good stuff in these things rather than looking for word that they can interpret to support their views. Jeff doesn’t read any of them to any extent he not very fond of religions although he does believe there’s something bigger than us, but he does believe that people should be able to make their own decisions about how they want t live their lives so long as it’s not harming anyone else. You know years ago if you lived with someone out of wedlock your lifestyle would be considered sinning against God, sound familiar. In conclusion Jeff and I agree that we should just let these people alone let them live a loving life and not try to make them believe what we do or not. Well were getting a little political now so this is Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin.

I guess everybody knows about the NSA spying on Americans and if you’ve read any posts about this from me you that Jeff has said this kind of thing has been going on for a long time. The question should be not how they got away with it but why the people let them get away with it. This is not really all about National security it’s about power. The person with the most information will be the person in the driver’s seat. All you have to do is study J. Edgar Hoover and look what he was capable of when he ran the FBI. Presidents were afraid of him the press was afraid of him he was able to hide is alleged homosexuality even after his death. He was at one time probably the single most powerful person in the country. He did all this by gathering information on important people and then keeping that information to himself. What’s scary about what’s going on now is people are aware of this and just don’t care they would rather read the soccer news than this story. Americans have a ridiculous short attention span. This might be due to the computer age where as before a news item might stay on the front page of the paper for weeks now it’s here and then gone in a day. There’s also the apathy factor where people say well that’s out there and I’m here like Jeff’s wife and other Colombians. They watch the news and a story will come up about a Farc attack in a different city and they won’t even bother paying attention. They will watch a story about some celebrity doing a concert or having a baby. They ignore the Farc story because it takes place 75 miles from them and down here that’s just the way they think. The United States is the same way people have stopped caring about what happens outside their little world they are more concerned with keeping their job and paying the mortgage. I understand all that but if people don’t start paying attention they may not have the ability to control their own lives. There is much more I can say and you can read about in other places but I know you won’t. this is a much disappointed Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia.

How is it that we have this fascination with vicious criminals after they’re either caught or killed? The newest bad guy TV star is Pablo Escobar they made a TV series about this guy who some thought was a Robin Hood. In truth the guy was a degenerate murderer and drug dealer responsible for the deaths of politicians and others. Then of course you have the old stand by Al Capone another mass murderer who was glorified in TV and the movies. There was John Dillinger and Pretty Boy Floyd and Bonnie and Clyde all murders and sociopaths but they were also big box office. Most never got the opportunity to be tried for their crimes being killed or dying of some disease before trial, of course most witness’s died too. So when you look at these guys why do they attract you attention so much and why am I writing about it? I haven’t got a clue after all I’m just a cat this is Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia

Sunday and since I have nothing really important to write about let’s look at the news shall we. Some of these really aren’t funny but show just how stupid we are. First Mass. man who ordered tie gets Social Security numbers instead. What make this article funny and dumb is we worry about leaks of information all the time and we’re right now chasing some guy who wrote the story about the US spying on us Hell everybody is spying on everyone else. Next Iowa man selling coffin on internet asked about bones. There should be an IQ test given at the time of purchase of a computer. Paula Deen thanks food Network after firing> Gee unemployment must be better than I remember and finally Essentials tips for camping meals yeah if you like to eat don’t go camping. It’s Saturday and this post is late because we were watching the world cup U 20 match between Colombia and Australia that ended in a tie. These guys play really hard the whole game unlike the big time pros who prone to stand around a lot. The day started out raining and now the sun is out and it’s hot. We saw in the US where a cooking channel personality was fired for admitting to using racial slurs in her past. Jeff is really pissed he tired of all the politically correctness in the world you can’t lose your temper and say something wrong or you’ll lose your job. Sports teams are being told to change their names but not by the people they’re supposedly offended but some lawyer that thinks it sounds racist. Jeff says he never thought of it being racist until they said it was. Look at Richard Pryor he wouldn’t be funny today if he couldn’t use the N word as it’s referred to. George Carlin is rolling over in his grave at all this political correctness. But I bet he could come up with a new list of words we can’t say in public never mind on TV. Personally I think there are a lot more pressing problems for the world to solve you humans should stop this stuff and get to work on them. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia

Well the NBA finals are over and the heat won again Jeff seems to think that this was bad for the NBA. I don’t see how, but he claims that dynasties take away from the competitive edge from the league that it will be a foregone conclusion that the Heat will be in the finals and the only question remaining is by how much they’ll win it by. He seems to think it will make the regular season even more irrelevant than it already is. He might be right people will stop watching the regular games and wait for the finals to see if some team could beat the Heat. Of course the best scenario for the NBA would be Cleveland makes the final and beats the Heat on a missed Lebron free throw, well we can all wish. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia.
