Ok even if you like some of trumps positions you have to be worried about what comes out of his mouth. I know a lot of people say he just saying thing to draw attention away from Hillary. But folks if was to say some of this stuff in the General assembly of the UN or a meeting of heads of state we could be in for a long, long headache. Now most of you know I’m running for President and one of the things I want to change is how the President gets elected. I want to do away with the Electoral College and have everybody’s vote count. I want the candidates to have to worry about Rhode Island and Wyoming not just those states that have a lot of Electoral votes. Wouldn’t you like to have your vote count in a national election just as much as it does when you vote for city council? People say well we do that for congress and look what we get. That’s very true but maybe we should pay a little more attention to whom is running for office and a little less about what party they’re from. I know it’s going to take more than this to clean up politics but it could be a good place to start. I also think all candidates should be given the same amount of money to campaign with instead of having all those big corporations funding there campaign. Maybe then that line from that old Jay and the Americans song “Only in America can a poor boy go to bed and wake up and become President” will be true and this will once again become the land of opportunity. I spent this last week trying to find something humorous to write about some of my friends said anything that Trump says. If Trump wasn’t running for President his remarks would be hilarious, but unfortunately that’s not the case. So then they suggested I should write something about the Olympics. Well, why would I do that when the average citizen can’t afford to go and see any events live and in a lot of countries can’t even watch on TV? Personally I stopped watching them when it became a showcase for overpaid professional athletes. As much as we complained about the Russians and Chinese being paid to train the thrill of watching true American athletes win an event was fantastic. You all do remember the Miracle on Ice don’t you? But we got upset when our basketball team lost the gold one year and next thing you knew it became the professional Olympics. Now getting back to friend Trump I fear not what he’ll do as President so much as what some of his whacked out supporters will do. They could decide since they elected him they can now be open racists and beat Blacks, Muslims, Latinos or anybody else they perceive as an enemy. We could see the right of free speech disappear as well as freedom of the press. The worst possible scenario would be total anarchy. Well I have to go take care of Jeff because his wife is in Sweden for another two weeks. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

You know what really scares me about this election? Not Donald trump winning (although that would be a major disaster), but what I think is the end of the two party system as we know it. Now some people will say well that’s great it hasn’t been getting much done of late anyhow. I think it’s bad because of the mass confusion that would accompany its demise. I mean you’d have people with no experience on the world platform trying to negotiate with other countries that even though they may be friends would love to take advantage of us. It would be like having a hundred Donald Trump’s running around instead just one asshole. I think having someone like say a Bill Bradley or Joe Biden running as an independent could really be a good thing. Even Bernie Sanders would be OK. But to have four or five different parties might not be a good thing. Now as far as this election is concerned I’m surprised the democrats didn’t start a King Obama movement like some people did for Reagan back in the day. If trump gets elected you’ll see less getting accomplished in the Congress and the Senate, then you see now. Having a polarizing character such as him would cause a complete breakdown in both houses. This is the same effect; I think that the demise of the two party system would have on future elections. But what the hell do I know I’m just a cat living in Colombia. Well the Republicans finished their fiasco called a convention this week and the Democrats have started theirs. The thing about Democrats and Republicans that bothers me the most is the fact that they blindly support candidates and issues just so long as they’re called either Republican or Democrat. In other words they don’t seem to exercise free will in their choices. I’ve had several friends who were members of one or the other of these parties and I asked them why you are a Democrat or why are you a Republican and I never get a satisfying answer. It seems they either go with what their parents are or they go opposite to rebel. I guess it saves them a lot of time and trouble researching their reasons. But it’s this attitude that gives bad people such as Trump and Clinton a chance to be President. If you look at Congress and the Senate in the last few years they simply vote for their own parties programs or against the other parties programs without offering an alternative. This has resulted in the most in effectual congress in years. An example of this is Obama Care now the fact that I don’t live in the United States anymore make it difficult for me to decide if this is a good or bad program. But I see Republicans saying as soon as the Election is over and they win they will repeal the program. Ok I can go along with that the only problem is it seems they just want to get rid of it because it was a Democratic idea and they really don’t offer any Alternative plans. It’s ok to dislike something and want it removed but have an idea of what you’re going to put in its place so people don’t go crazy trying to figure out if they have health insurance or not. it seems politicians don’t care what the people want or need as long as there party is the one making the decisions. In other countries there would be either a political or military rebellion but I guess American are too busy playing Pokémon Go to give a shit. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Sorry I’m late with this post but for those of you that don’t know I’ve developed arthritis in a good portion of my body and I also had a toothache which was removed this morning. But let’s get to it now. Republicans are blaming Democrats and Democrats are blaming Republicans for the deaths of police by gunfire that has happened in the last couple of weeks. Listen up people we didn’t just buying and carrying guns the dramatic up swings gun purchasing first started during the race riot of the sixties as well as the Cuban incident. What we do with these guns and why we do it is a different story. I was once told by a member of a street gang that if you carry a knife you better be prepared to use. Pulling it out and showing it isn’t going to stop somebody from beating the crap out of you it’s just going to make the beating worse. Now let’s look at Dallas and its open carry law. I not sure about you but I sure as hell don’t feel any safer having the guy next carrying an AR15 on his shoulder. You see I know guns I was an expert shot with many different weapons back in the day. I didn’t end up in any war but I was in the service. I had a great many friends come home and when people would ask how it was man they would answer it was fucking crazy. You had to worry about being shot by men from your own unit. Having a bunch of people walking around with guns ain’t making the world a safer place. Either is standing up in front of a bunch of TV cameras and blaming the President of the country. You want him to stop Ok lets have him declare Marshal Law in the country and then stand back. Because you know all the militias and gun carrying citizens aren’t going to stand still when he say we want you guns. I haven’t got a real answer to the world’s problems and I fear no one else does either. I think that if Aliens don’t invade then it’s going to take a war like we’ve never seen and even then I’m not sure people would get the idea. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

It’s Sunday and ordinarily I would be posting something to do with my campaign for President. But the events of the past week just make it seem ridicules to try and promote myself, so I’m going to turn the post over to my buddy Jeff he’s older and has a better perspective on this shit. Hey guys as you know I’m 70 years old which means I was around for desegregation and all the riots. Now we had some great men back then Martin Luther King, the Kennedy’s, Malcolm X and many more the ones above were all assassinated. So far we have lost a great many people to the problem of race. Things are bad now in relations between people and some of that can be blamed on radicals that profit from trouble between us. Some can be blamed on 9/11 and the desire for more police protection. In that rush some of the vetting wasn’t done and let’s face it as hard as it is for a white cop to live in his neighborhood think how hard it is for a black cop. So yes there is a disproportionate amount of white cops on the force. Every time there is an instance of black and white police get nervous. During the Newark riots which I saw firsthand due to towing cars out there, we were warned to be careful how we reacted if the police stopped us for any reason. I personally had a 38 police revolver pointed at my head by a cop I knew not to be to stable. I watched as nice neighborhoods made up of just black people were ravaged by rioters. Let’s face folks even the rap artist from Compton isn’t moving back. Just like the majority of white folks from bad neighborhoods don’t want to move back. Therein lies the problem most not all people that come from less than sterling neighborhoods don’t want to go back to live. In most cases they won’t drive through the area without protection. This distrust brings problems Muslims are thought to be potential terrorists. Latinos are drug dealer looking to steal your jobs. Muslims are just looking for a better life as are most Latinos. If we don’t want them here we need to make it possible for them to survive in their own countries. One thing I learned n my life one race cannot survive without the others. It’s time for the Trumps and Giuliani’s and Palin’s of this time to shut up we need leaders who are going to bring us together not rip us apart. In a world full of people who want to see us fail we cannot survive if we’re trying to kill each other. This is Jeff and Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

It’s Independence Day in America and the politicians and the hot eating contests are all out there vying for your attention. Well who am I to be any different since I’m running for President. You know what’s sad that some people think Independence Day is just the name of a movie. Some people think being free and having the right to vote isn’t a good thing. You can hear them yelling that we have to much Democracy because the general public first supported Trump and then in England they withdrew from the European Union. I think it’s a good thing. Too long have the elite been making decisions for us. I think right or wrong we should make the decisions. If there’s going to be a war and the average guy is the one who’s going to be fighting in it shouldn’t he have some sort of say? You want us to pay taxes and then we can’t tell you where to spend the money because we’re too dumb. Hay assholes you don’t pay your fair share so maybe it’s time you didn’t get to make all the decisions. Now I don’t think either Donald Trump or leaving the European Union are good ideas but I do think it’s about time the average guy shook things up. Look at me a cat running for President can you imagine how much that would shake things up. I’d love to see CNN on election night reporting that I had just captured the electoral vote lead by winning California. Can you hear them at Clinton’s headquarters? A fucking what is leading the race. Wouldn’t it be nice if we elected a leader that everybody like not just a few in certain states? Well I’ll let you all get back to your BBQ’s. Well first let me apologize for no saying goodbye properly last post. Now that’s out of the way don’t forget I really am running for President. Now it’s time to discuss my pet peeves. You know things that really piss me of like waiting in line 10 minutes to pay for something. Hey if you want my money get somebody over here to take don’t make me wait to give it to you. Rock singers piss me off along with movie stars and some professional athletes because they think they’re better than us they seem to forget that without us they’re nothing they should pay us for asking for an autograph. The one thing that really piss’s me off is watching people waste their talent or worse yet an opportunity. You this in athlete are all the time a good example of this would be Johnny Manziel. A kid with a lot of talent that thought he didn’t have to obey the rule because he was just so cool. I see a lot of kids that come from really good homes and have money and brains just destroy their lives when there are a lot of kids out there that would love to be able to go to college. Again you see scholarship students and athletes that just waste their time and don’t seem to care. Rock singers screw up their lives with drugs like Jimi Hendricks, Janice Joplin. Amy Winehouse. They become troubled souls and decide to destroy themselves. What really gets me is the kid that has a chance to go to college because his parent have broke their ass to give him that chance and they decide not to take advantage and just sit around wasting their lives. There are the kids that have talent but let booze or a girl destroy their chances. What’s worse, are the ones who are just too scared to take a chance. Jeff, you remember him we’ll call him fats from now on, put my picture up on Facebook and said I was running for President. Well everybody got a good laugh including me. But then I started to think what if I did run for President and by some screwed up miracle I won? Can you just see the Donald running around going I lost to what you’re kidding it’s a Mexican trick or the Muslims have taken over the world? Then there would be Hillary standing there in that pose you know the one I’m talking about. Her mouth open and her eyes with that wild pissed off look. Bernie and Obama would be sitting around doing shots and saying you get what you deserve. My platform would be free college education for everyone a flat tax so those rich bastards would have to finally pay something. I would ban assault rifles as well as large capacity magazines. I tell Congress that they have to perform or get out no more hanging around the pretty interns. I would make the big banks pay back all that bailout money as well as those ridicules large bonus’s they gave themselves as a reward for screwing everybody. I would see to it that major companies had to hire qualified Americans first before bringing in immigrants for a job. I would help those immigrants that are here illegally to become citizens. I wouldn’t make it easy but I would give them a shot. Now if Cuban relations keep improving I would make Cubans go through the same procedures as any other country in order to visit this country or apply for citizenship. I have a lot of other good ideas and I want to hear yours before November. So this is my official announcement that I’m putting my tail in the race ( I don’t wear hats I leave that to fats)

Well it’s Sunday and Fathers day to boot. I don’t have any kids of my own but I’ve been around kids forever and for whatever the reason they seem to like me. my experience with my father wasn’t the best he was a sometimes violent drunk and other times a good father. I think I got my work alcoholic attitude from him as well as my alcoholism. Both of which I’m done with now. Work because I retired and drinking because I stopped over thirty years ago. I’ve never wanted to drink again and I’m gradually losing my tolerance to be around drunken people especially if they’re family. I have wanted a cigarette or cigar occasionally but so far have been able to resist. My father didn’t set out to be what he was he was a product of his time. Business deals were conducted at the three martini lunch or at dinner and cocktails. He loved to entertain friends and family and when I was born he was very well off, time and bad decisions took his money but that never stopped his entertaining. I think I also got my distrust of others from my dad since his financial loss can be traced back to a bad business deal made with friends who after word pretended not to know my dad. I know these people names and have looked them up once in awhile and let me tell Karma is a bitch most of them are worse off than my dad was. Now I don’t want you to think I had a lousy child hood or my dad was a real scumbag. Not so; he took me fishing and ball games whenever he could our problems came from the fact that I started drinking and became the bigger ass. When I stopped drinking, and I did it on my own, I realized that all drinking was doing was making me a bigger asshole. My dad taught me how to fix things with my hands, to work numbers in my head. He did the best he could under the circumstances. I have tried real hard not to be him to be sober and kind to people and not a racist he helped me that way by being an example of what I didn’t want to be. But like say everything wasn’t all bad so if you’re Dad is still around give him a hug he’s doing the best he can. This is Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.
