Sunday and how are you guys I ask this because I didn’t get much sleep last night there was a lot of music and fireworks in the area last night. Ruby tell Jeff that fireworks are illegal down here well either the people in the town next to the complex own a fireworks factory, are rich, or belong to the Mafia. They started sitting of their little bombs around ten o’clock and it sound like a war out there the rest of the night I mean hundreds of dollars went up in smoke. It must be nice to have that much money to just throw away on some noise. They didn’t even have any colorful rockets just big bang stuff to me and Jeff that’s just a waste of money and I guess the cops don’t care that it’s against the law, because they sure didn’t do anything to stop it last night. Well at least I’ll get to rest all day Jeff and Ruby are going visit El Jefe and see what’s going on with him. I think I’ll star checking out my comfort places now CIAO.

It’s Saturday and I don’t care at least to me every day is a Saturday down here. Last night they all went to Nachos restaurant John was there but no Hari or Vanessa, they’re both sick again, Jeff missed them especially Hari. Hader was there with the whole crew Nelida was there and even Mauricio made an appearance. It was pretty low key as gatherings go maybe everybody is getting mellow in their old age, but I doubt it. Tomorrow everyone is going to El Jefe house he’s been acting like a grumpy old man lately and they’re going to try and get him out that mood. I hope so I really like him he loves animals and he’s always nice to me. As for today shopping is on the agenda and that’s about it tonight is rest and relaxation and cuddling with me time. Jeff has assured me he’s going to copyright his book and send it to the publisher on Monday; I’ll believe it when I see it. He has already started the sequel so it would be nice if the first one was published before he finished the second one. Ruby finally finished making the bed and put my blanket on it so I’m off to take a long nap CIAO.

Here we go it’s Friday and the weekend is here; Hader got most of his stuff moved last night to his new apt it’s really nice and has plenty of room, now everybody has their own bedroom only problem is only one bathroom but they have the space t put one so it’s an easily solved problem. Man it’s hot down here today, it’s another one of those cloudless mornings. Plans are still up in the air about tonight but I think the narrowed it down to Mauricio’s girl friend’s house or Olga and Nachos house. I don’t care so long as everybody doesn’t come here I like peace and quiet. Jeff says he’s not going to look at yahoo news anymore it’s too depressing Earthquakes, shootings, unemployment, lying politicians, it has just reached a point that if he keeps reading it he’ll have to get a prescription for Zanex (might do him some good). Alright that’s it for now I have to go find a cool place to hang out until it cools off a little CIAO

Thursday and the sun is shining and it’s hot as a you know what and it’s early. Cats love to sit in the sun but down here if you sit to long you’ll turn into Chinese food (LOL). Hader and his family are moving today they need more room  but they’re not going far they trade apartments with a friend across the street, I don’t think he’ll ever leave his old neighborhood. That’s the difference between John and him, John wants a nicer place but I thought Hader’s old place had character and once you get used to the noise its cool. Ruby is home and doing her cleaning thing which means she’s always making me and Jeff move kind of disturbs our daily routine. Maybe since she’s doing all the cleaning now we’ll be able to sleep late this weekend which would be a good idea because there is a celebration this Friday night of the Immaculate Conception. This means more fireworks the lighting of special candles and a lot of drinking. Oh, Oh here comes Ruby the cleaning machine time for me to hide in the closet CIAO.

It’s Wednesday the middle of the week and I really don’t have much to say.

There are a couple of soccer games of note being played today one involves Barcelona and the other Manchester United other than that not much happening. The weekend looks slow too, I’m beginning to think the novelty of Jeff being in Colombia is wearing of so people are not that interested in hanging out with him anymore and to tell you the truth I don’t think it bothers him all that much. He does miss El Jefe and the crazy aunts but the rest not so much. Well I probably got him in trouble with that but you know that’s my job causing mischief and mayhem. That’s really all I got so I’m going to take a nap and see if I can come up with more CIAO.

Tuesday and the Giants lost last night does not make for a happy Jeff this morning, but who cares. I was watching the news this morning with Ruby Fats was still sleeping and I noticed they were showing a lot of pictures of bad roads in Bogota and I was wondering why. I mean they go around telling everyone they’re building these new roads and then they don’t maintain the ones they already have. I could understand if they were way out in t country and weren’t used very much, that happens everywhere but these are in the city and are being reported on TV every day and still nothing is being done. I realize I don’t know how things work down here so I started to look into this; it would appear that like a lot of other things down here the government waits for something to happen before they’ll do anything. They hadn’t inspected the pedestrian crossovers until on collapsed. They don’t fix roads until TV crews show up in other words they react to things rather than try to prevent them from happening. I know this happens in America but at least they inspect once in awhile without having a disaster first. I know I shouldn’t waste my precious Blog space writing stuff like this when most reader are in America and if Ruby reads this she’ll get all upset and say I shouldn’t bother . I think she’s afraid someone will get mad at me, hay I’m a old cat and I don’t care. Speaking of being old I’m a little tired now and I think I’ll go and take a nap.

Boy do I hate Mondays and I don’t even have to go to work and they still suck. I guess because either you have this great sunny day or you have this really crappy weather like that which is outside now. Jeff and Ruby were lucky they had to go to the bank this morning and they managed to avoid the rain that was everywhere and of course Ruby left the umbrella home. All the schools are closed now for the holiday vacation that plus a lot of work contracts are coming to an end makes for a lot of people on vacation. That means that now is not the time to go anywhere, but rather stay home and be with family YEAH RIGHT. John is on vacation but his wife Vanessa has to work and Ruby still has to go and watch Hari because I think John is afraid of him. Well the Giants play the Washington Red skins in Monday Night Football Jeff will be bouncing around the channels as he tries to watch the game and Criminal minds. I think he watches criminal minds to see if he’s on it because we know he not rapped to tight. That’s it for now I need to get some more sleep CIAO.

Boy I’d hate to be a weather forecaster down here we woke up about 8:45 because the sun was shining in the window very brightly. At 9:05 when we all went into the living room for coffee and a scratch for me it looked like it would rain any minute. We’ve been down here a year and a half now and Jeff still get amazed by how fast the weather changes, you can literally look out the window turn away for 10 min and see a different weather. Ok it’s a football Sunday in the US they had all the big college games yesterday and it looks like Alabama and Notre Dame will play for the college championship on Jan 7. I can’t believe how much Jeff is peeling from the sun he got when they went to the farm; he looks like a walking snow storm (LOL). We had the house to ourselves last while Ruby was at her concert watched a couple of movies and had some pop corn and Jeff almost sat on me if he had I would not be writing this blog today Jeff would have be writing my obituary. Well on that happy note I think I’ll stop now and take a well deserved nap CIAO.

Hi it’s your future President Flounder here; Christmas officially started last night at mid- night and as was the case last year it ws less than in the past. It seems Colombia is changing and Ruby is sad about this but things do change. I don’t happen to think this is one where it’s for the good but I’m sort of old fashioned and so is Jeff when it comes to Christmas, he doesn’t like the way retailers but more emphasis on adults then children. To Jeff Christmas is for kids and he’s one of the biggest kids I know, he hate getting practical gifts he still loves toys, so do I as a matter of fact. Anyhow there were still fireworks all over, they stated at 10 to 12 and were pretty much done by 12:15 and the river lights were officially lit. the river lights of Medellin are listed as being in the top 3 worldwide for Christmas decorations, pretty good huh. Well I didn’t get much sleep last night so I’m headed to my closet right now to try and catch up CIAO.
