You all know that I consider myself genuinely independent and that I think all politicians lie. Well recently Kevin McCarthy has gone a little far I think he and some of his Republican friends should remove their lips from Trump’s ass and do the job they were supposedly elected for that is to work for all the people. In reality, we know Kevin can’t do that he has used super glue to attach his lips so even the truth can’t remove them. You know when I was a kid if I lied I would get a beating, not a pat on the back, and a cushy government job. Maybe I shouldn’t be so honest perhaps then I wouldn’t be living on just Social Security from month to month. That brings us to Pence who has said he wants to privatize Social Security. If he does that he better have a lot of room in his house because I’m going to be moving in. Somewhere along the line, we have elected officials that don’t even pretend to care about the people but rather just play God with our lives as if we don’t matter. We have politicians that want to remove democracy from the dictionary and say there is just one way to live your life the way we think you should. I see a lot of dark clouds on the horizon for this country and it’s sad. This is FATS and ANTONIA saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Well, I’ve said this before and now they’re out there proving it. All politicians lie through their teeth. Trump is the worst of the bunch because the lies he tells harm others. Biden and DeSantis aren’t far behind in the telling of lies. All is being done so they can gain power and tell us what they think we should be doing. Did you know that the reason the Electoral college came into existence is that the politicians didn’t think we were smart enough to elect a President? If that’s not insulting enough they don’t think we have the ability to do what is best for us. They lie because we let them look at Santos he is only slightly worse than Trump because they both believe everything they say is true. When I say we let them lie to us look at it, we elected Trump as President, and Santos got elected as did DeSantis. Do you remember when I wrote about the Silent Majority? Well, it’s still out there, and our country is going to the dogs because of it. If we let Trump or DeSantis become President this country’s reign as a Free and Democratic Republic will be over. Now Biden is not the answer. I always thought of him as a stop gap measure until 2024, but it appears the Dems have got lazy and no one is stepping up to take charge. Martin Luther King would not be happy with what he would be seeing today. The progress that had been made is being eroded by the rise once again of White Nationalism. It seems to me that every time we make some progress something comes along to set us back. I still remember my mother saying to me that we all have to work together in order for the HUMAN RACE to survive. Do you think your favorite football team could survive if they didn’t get along? That may not be the best example but it does show how if we just want to be a white country or just a black country or whatever and we don’t work together we won’t survive very long. We don’t have an MLK right now that could help us pull it all together. We’re going to have to get out own shit together and straighten this shit out before we find ourselves out of time. Unfortunately, I don’t see a leader to help us on the horizon, but I don’t think people that knew MLK and thought he was going to make a difference. We need leaders with high moral character to pull us together and we don’t have any right now. Somewhere out there is a plain simple man much like MLK who can pull us together. Well, Kevin got the job he wanted but at a huge cost. Have you ever wanted a job so bad that you would sell your soul and then let your opponents gut your ability to do the job just so you could say you had the job? It appears that’s just what Kevin has done. He’s kissed so much ass this week he can’t stand up straight. Then he gives credit to the one person that did little if anything to get him the job. As you know if you follow this blog I’m going to be 77 years old in a few days so I’ve seen a lot and not once have I seen a politician destroy his self-esteem for a position in such a way that he’s made the job useless. I have seen politicians embarrass themselves in support of another or in Giuliani’s case destroy their legacy. Kevin is now obligated to those radicals in the Republican party whose only agenda is self-gratification. Antonia and I can’t wait to they kick Kevin to the curb. Well, another year has passed and it would seem most have survived. How many of you are hungover and are searching for a cure. Don’t even bother a hangover is a badge that proves you had a good time. It’s also a great excuse to tell people you don’t remember what you did. Politicians should use it, then maybe they wouldn’t have to be so creative with their lies. They could simply say I really don’t remember that and we would believe that. I don’t make predictions for the coming year hell I’m not sure what’s coming in the next few minutes. People that predict the future usually select topics that lend themselves to predictability. They do little research because unless they’re really famous nobody will call them on it at the end of the year. Well look I may not be hung over but I’m really tired and it is a football Sunday so this is FATS and ANTONIA saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Merry Christmas to one and all. It’s been an unusually quiet Christmas down here this year. No, all-night parties are fireworks Where I live in Colombia it was the dullest Christmas since I moved here over 12 years ago. It was nice there was even a little traditional Christmas music this morning. I hope people are taking the quiet time to be thankful and look to the future. I want to wish everybody a very MERRY CHRISTMAS I hope today was everything you wanted it to be and that you are all well and safe. Well by now I’m sure everybody knows trump is running for president again. I really don’t think he wants the job but is just trying to stay out of jail. I don’t think he has as much influence as he has had in the past because people are tired of hearing the same old thing over and over. What Trump has done is allow other anti-democracy advocates a chance to spread their venom out there. Because he was successful at perpetrating lies and getting people to believe their others are doing the same thing but not really agreeing with or supporting Trump. Mainstream politicians are afraid of Trump because of his loyal band of miscreants that dote on his every word as the truth. I worry about that because it tells me the country is getting dumber and that people believe we should become a more totalitarian government without such things as freedom of speech and a free press. I find it incredulous that veterans and older folk want to see our country like that. Trump is not a well-educated man in many ways he is still a petulant little boy who thinks he knows more than anybody else. You know I think all politicians think like that but most just dream about it he try’s to force people to believe it. I hope we have enough intelligent people left to rid us of people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, Loren Boebert, Ron DeSantis, and others. Time will tell for us all. Well contrary to what people might have hoped for I’m back. I spent the last 7 days trying to get better it now seems to be happening. I don’t know what I had only that it basically just kicks my ass. I lose my equilibrium, my ability to taste or smell and I run a high fever. My wife said I didn’t need a doctor but then she complained I wasn’t getting better fast enough. I can taste and smell now I am not so dizzy so maybe I”m over this, anyhow I just wanted to stop by and let you know. The title says why do they do that? I came up with that question while Antonia and I were out walking Friday night and a very attractive young girl walked by all made up with a good looking outfit and then on her feet she had platform combat boots. Now I know I’m out of touch with today’s fashion trends but I just think it made her look weird. I knew this girl she’s a very good looking nice figure and good legs so I asked myself why she would wear something that took away from her natural good looks. I guess it is the influence of the influencer’s generation. You know those young people on the Net that set trends that aren’t really complimentary but make them feel important till someone else comes along. When I was in high school and my parents let me dress myself I was never a trend follower. I wore what I wanted to not what the rest of the world said I had to. I liked loafers and shoes that were tied. Now I’m not saying I didn’t like things like Bell bottoms. I loved the Hippy generation. It just seemed that once everybody was wearing something the price would go up. Look at the trend of ripped or holes in jeans. People are baying hundreds of dollars for jeans that you can just give to kids and they rip them up for free. What’s the purpose of wearing high-top sneakers with untied laces just because some gangster does. I understand that if you are young then it makes you feel cool. Back in the day of the hippy once something came into the mainstream the kids didn’t want it anymore now it seems they want everything no matter how unconformable it makes them and they have to have the expensive version. Go into a poor neighborhood and you’ll see two things right away. Two hundred fifty dollar sneakers and Apple cell phones on kids that can’t afford to take the bus to school. I know young parents that go out to work two jobs just so their kids can have what they want. I never wanted for anything growing up but I didn’t want the newest trendy thing out there. Well, I guess by today’s standards I’m either uncool or just out of touch. This is FATS and my very stylish friend ANTONIA saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Well, fat boy went and did it. He’s running for president again and not only that Elon Musk is so desperate to keep Twitter alive that he gave Trump back his account. Well, people, I follow like George Takei has moved to Mastodon where I am as well. You just have to go to @bruffjeffrey mastodon to find me. While I don’t think he can get elected again I realize that there are millions of bigots and racists as well as dumb people out there who worship the ground he slithers on. If he had not lost the last election, you’d think there would be at least one little piece of proof out there and there is none. So the real question arises are there enough anti-democracy morons out there to make his run viable. While I hate Trump I don’t think Joe Biden should run again. I’m going to be 77 next month and I recognize the fact that I’m just not as quick mentally as I was a year ago to forget the Physical problems that come with old age. That is what really scares me about Trump as he already seems to be somewhat mentally impaired. I was glad to see that the Republicans didn’t get all they wished for in the midterms but they got enough to make sure Congress doesn’t get anything accomplished this time around.
