Here’s part two of today’s post. You’ve all read about the coming inauguration and who’s going to perform and attend and whose not. Well personally I don’t give a shit I’ve never watched one and I’m not about to start now. You want to know why? Because it’s boring and everybody is lying making promises either they aren’t or can’t keep. They forget that the attention span of somebody sitting and listening to a bunch of speeches is about ten minutes before their attention stars to wander and at about the twenty minute mark their basically asleep with their eyes opened. The press is usually handed copies of every ones speeches so if they even bother to go they’re not paying attention. I’ll read the short version the next morning while I take my morning dump. This has nothing to do with the fact that it’s the Trumpster getting sworn in I just don’t have the attention span to listen to a couple of hours of bullshit then watch a bunch of elite pricks slapping each other on the backs because they get to spend the next four years screwing the very people who are responsible for them being here. Now like I said they all make false promises but with the Trumpster he’s liable to change his mind before he gets off the podium. Everybody should but you DVR on and record this then in a couple of weeks look at and see how he’s deigned or just changed his mind. This is Flounder and Fats saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia

Gonna be a couple of posts today on account I have two different topics to discuss. First I just read that Ringling Brothers Circus is closing after a 146 year. I saw that PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) is claiming victory well they can kiss my ass. If it wasn’t for the circus and zoos millions of children would never get to really know how beautiful and majestic animal can be. I first went to the Circus when I was very young. Before the main performance we were able to visit what was called the menagerie where I got to feed elephants and monkeys. Back then the animals I saw seemed to be doing ok but I was kid so I really don’t know. I know the ASPCA went after the circus for mistreatment of Asian elephants. The claim was mad by a barn worker for the circus. The suit was dismissed when the judge decided the worker wasn’t credible. In 2012 Ringling sued the ASPCA under the RICO act and was awarded 9.2 million dollars when it was proved the ASPCA had paid the barn worker 190,000 dollars to file the suit. Feld who was owner of the circus also got 25.2 million dollars from animal right groups for defamation of character. The circus employ’s full time vets and in 1995 opened the Center for Elephant Conservation in Florida for breeding research and retirement of its Asian elephants. All domestic dogs that perform in the circus are rescued from pounds. The circus also participates in breeding programs for endangered species, something I don’t see PETA doing. The Tigers in the circus are retired to Big Cat Reserve. And I know that the famous trainer Gunther Williams built a retirement reserve for all of his animals when he retired. So here we sit one old guy that remembers the animals and developed a love for all animals from watching the circus and on the other side you have an organization, which does a lot of good but would make it impossible for the average adult or child to ever see these animals in real life. Down here in Colombia I went to the famed criminal Pablo Escobar’s home which has been turned into a zoo and got to see Tigers, Lions, Monkees, Hippos and even a Rhino running around enjoying themselves. Without the circus and the zoo these animal will be nothing more than pictures in a book. Without the circus I would never have met Emmett Kelly the sad clown. So yes to me this is a sad day because children won’t be able to dream of running away to join the circus anymore. This is Flounder and Fats saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

The Trumpster would have you believe that the media is doing nothing but lying when they say something that is contrary to what he says. Now this isn’t the first time a president has accused the press of attacking him falsely remember Richard Nixon. The Trumpster wants to discredit the media because he’s a billionaire business man and like a politician he lies. Billionaire’s don’t become that by caring about the little guy no they get there by ruthlessly crushing those in their way. Do you think the Trumpster or Hillary really cared about the veterans or the poor and homeless? Look around you after all these years the most neglected groups are homeless, homeless vets, the elderly, orphans, and the American Indian. The last one might surprise you but they have the longest history of neglect. The Trumpster, Hillary, and the rest of the political world bring up these groups only when doing so will be beneficial to them or their purpose. This and other thing hidden in their past are what makes a free press scary to them. Let’s look back and compare. Remember Richard Nixon saying famously to the American people “I’m not a crook.” Sounds a lot like the denials of the Trumpster, Hillary and other politicians during and after the election doesn’t it. Without a free press and the work done by two reporters Bernstein, and Woodward and their famous informant Deep Throat Nixon would never have been caught and forced to resign to avoid criminal prosecution. I Believe the Trumpster remembers this and other incidents where wrong doing by a politician resulted in the press ruining their careers or at least their legacy’s. The fact that there is fake news out there is nothing new politicians and business men as well as countries have used misinformation to help put threw their own agendas. The Trumpster wants you to believe only what comes out of his mouth and not any other source. If any of you have read any of my posts you know my opinion of politicians they all lie and don’t give a shit about anybody but themselves. Politicians are for the most part the elite of society the so called 1%. They believe that the average person doesn’t know what’s really good for them and that they, the politician does, and the Trumpster is definitely in this category. He might even be much worse since he believes, he even smarter than his fellow politicians. So in closing let me say what’s been said so many times before without a free press we would have long ago become a totalitarian society. Last night I had the privilege of watching one of the greatest college championship football games of all time. Alabama had won 26 games in a row and it was supposed to keep going. What I found most interesting about the game was that it took a black quarterback throwing the ball to a white receiver in order for Clemson to win the game. I wonder what the Trumpster and his Bigoted, Racists friends have to say about that. For me it proves something I’ve known most of my life those Minorities whether they are black or like some countries white need each other in order to survive and be successful. I can’t wait to hear how the Trumpster tweets this. This also proves to me that college football is far more entertaining than the professional version. But that aside the more important aspect is that working together whites and blacks can accomplish greater things than working separately. Wow I guess everybody has heard about Meryl Streep’s speech at the golden globes. She managed to piss off the Trumpster which means it was a great speech. She also it seems pissed off Mixed Martial arts fans as well by implying that they weren’t really arts. Guess what boys there not MMA is the somewhat legitimate version of underground gage fighting that had been and still is banned in most states. It is not an art form and either is boxing. I’m not a fan of either but so long as people want to do it and it is regulated as best as can be I’m not going to cry out for its banishment. After all I can chose not to watch or watch it if I want. But to get upset because someone is complaining that it isn’t an art and why is so much of it on TV well that’s just stupid. Meryl was called overrated by the Trumpster today and I have to say if anyone is overrated it’s him. his major claim to business fame is he never manages to lose his money just everybody else’s who is involved with him. He has proven he’s unable to take criticism as well as jokes about himself. Every President has at one time or another been fodder for comedians but with the Trumpster it seems his only since of humor coms when he say “YOUR FIRED” . Maybe we’ll get lucky and politicians and the people will get together to tell him HE”S FIRED. One last note Meryl Streep is a very fine actress and a great person to call her an overrated actress is just one more way the Trumpster shows is ignorance. It’s a football playoff weekend and people are still talking about the Trumpster’s nominations for his cabinet and other positions. They’re screaming about how unqualified they all are. Well that may be I’m certainly no expert on their qualifications but I do know that they have all said some rather disturbing things about what they’re going to do. Now everybody is expecting them to all get approved by congress and the senate, but that doesn’t have to happen. Just recently the senate tries to dismantle the ethics committee. The resulting uproar from the public caused them to change their minds. If people react the same to the Trumpster’s choices we might just be able to throw a monkey wrench into his plans. Another thing they keep saying we’re going to repeal these programs on the first day the Trumpster’s in office. Ok but they have nothing to put in their place. I’ve said for a long time if you want to get rid of Obama care have something to put in its place. The Trumpster has alredy proved that he has no intentions of keeping his promises. Just look at the one to “Empty the Swamp” his nomination of x Goldman Sacs people is kind of like the invasion of pythons in the Everglades. He wants to use his position as President to secure his place as the richest man in the world. He’s a lot like President Santos in Colombia he has more concern for his families legacy than he does for the American people. The worst thing is he can’t take negative criticism without retaliating. He hasn’t been sworn in yet but he’s already starting to make tricky Dick look like an angel. Instead of plumbers he’ll use Russian hackers to obtain information on his detractors. Well I’m sure at some point I’ll make his list but in the mean time this Flounder and Fats saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Well it’s officially the end of the Holiday season and you know what that means? What to do with all the new STUFF you have and where do you put all the old STUFF you have. Now as your thinking about remember all that stuff you saved to your computer and now the hard drive is almost full, when you add that to your STUFF man that’s a lot of STUFF. I know you’d like to burn that sweater fro Aunt Sue and that Pokémon key chain from your niece and all those scarf’s and plaid socks and the rest of the stuff. But what about the old stuff now that you’ve got the latest smart TV and I Phone what do you do with the old STUFF. Now your old TV worked just fine and the picture was great and you old phone did everything the new phone does, except they weren’t the newest and coolest Stuff. Now in the old days you would keep that STUFF and give it to your kids like your old books which used to sit on a shelf in the living room but now reside in cyber space. Well at least they don’t take up a lot of room WRONG. Eventually you reach a point where you have no more room on you digital device to put new books so they get deleted. A shame to do that to something you really enjoyed isn’t it, but that’s what happens now because we got too much STUFF. Whatever happened to those family heirlooms that sat on the mantel over the fire place? Oh I see you took digital 3D pictures with your new virtual reality camera. I wonder how this planet will look in a few years what with Global warming and all old STUFF being discarded. We either have to move or find another planet for all our old STUFF. I mean even space is getting filled up with old STUFF. We can’t use the Moon it’s too nice so we have to find another planet we can use or we could just shoot our STUFF into the Sun but that might make it hotter and it would burn out sooner. Boy what to do with all our STUFF is a real pain in the neck. Well the only STUFF I have is a fifteen year old toy and a lot of poop. It’s the end of the year and I guess it’s kinda expected to do some sort of year end review. Well here it is 2016 sucked not as bad as some years but worse than others. To be fair you have to take the Trumpster out of the equation since it’s really only been a small part of the year. At my age judging the year that was is simple I made it to the end so how bad could it have been. People are crying because the Trumpster got elected president so that automatically makes it the worst year ever. Get over it you lived through it and if you’re lucky you didn’t lose anybody close to you and you’re still relatively healthy. If not that than I guess 2016 really did suck for you and I’m sorry. The New Year looks exciting we won’t be able to yawn our way through this one. If we do things will happen that will forever change the way we live. It’s going to be a year where we must participate in the process of government if we want our way of life to survive. We might once again have to fight the old battles of women’s rights, racism, and freedom of speech. It will make for interesting times and, maybe at this time next year if God willing we’re all here, an enlightened time.
