Geez can things get more fucked up then they are, it’s getting so I don’t want to read the new (not even the sports).We didn’t make it to the vet the other day because I was feeling better but now we going to go in a little while so here’s Fats with today’s post. I think the Trumpster wants a war to divert attention from how fucked up his administration is. I said on Facebook the other day that it would take at least ten years to straighten out the country when he gets done screwing it up. Most people think I’m being to conservative. To those who think he’s doing the right thing America can’t survive as either a all white nation or one that close its borders and decides it will ignore the rest of the world. Now I’ve long thought that when we get involved in other countries policies it’s because of money and I still firmly believe that. Politicians listen to the money when they send kids off to die telling them it’s to preserve Democracy. That’s pure BULLSHIT they do it to preserve their fat ass wallets. The Trumpster also wants to implement a sort of Christen law on us. Does that make him any different than the Muslim larders that want to impose Sharia law on their people? Every time I look around now that 60’s song Eve of Destruction comes to mind. Well I’m off to take my friend Flounder to the vet I’ll update his conditioner as soon as I know something.

First let me say fats will be writing this post I’m kinda sick. I can’t poop and my but is swollen I have fats update you on my condition. Well thanks Flounder don’t worry friend I’ll take good care of him.
We couldn’t wait till Sunday to say something about the shooting in Las Vegas. Mass shootings such as this one have been committed by what is referred to as domestic terrorists. These are the hard ones to find because they’ve never preached against this country they don’t belong to any organizations and for the most part are bat shit crazy. Now everybody is yelling for stricter gun laws, well that’s all well and good but unless you can make the gun manufactures liable in some way the guns will still be out there, plus we don’t know exactly how many are already out there. There are many more guns not registered that those that are and that’s a big argument used by those against stricter laws. They always claim that stricter laws won’t stop the sale of illegal guns just make them more expensive and we would be punishing the legal gun owners. I’m old so I remember back after the race riots, especially the one in Newark; you could get just about any kind of weapon you wanted on the corner no question asked. I have absolutely no faith in law reinforcements ability to stop the sale of illegal firearms or for this country to pass stricter gun laws. We might be able to get some laws restricting magazine size and ammunition sales. It’s possible the NRA might; if enough pressure is applied to them support those laws to prevent tougher ones on the sale of actual weapons. That to me is about all we can hope to get. Remember a gun doesn’t have to be registered or bought legally in order to kill someone. This is fats filling in for a under the weather Flounder saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia. Well it’s been a hell of a week, the Trumpster’s up to his old tricks showing the world how he’s a self serving egotistical ass hole. This, of course makes this country’s politics look worse than a third world countries. He went out and attacked the mayor of San Juan Puerto Rico for doing her job in asking the President and congress for help, he also attacked athletes for kneeling during the national anthem. The sad part of that is that his supporters were more upset at the athletes than at his inaction towards storm ravaged Puerto Rico. If this had been Florida that was being ignored he would have responded with just about everything he could because Florida is a swing state. As for the reaction to the athletes he’s just trying to divert attention from his administrations inaction and its problems. People on the mainland in the United States have never really taken much of an interest in Puerto Rico other than it’s a nice place for a golfing vacation. Has it been mismanaged of course so has every other island in the Caribbean. If you don’t have banks that handle all the drug money and bribes nobody really cares. Wait you say what about Jamaica that seems well run. Yeah but your told you really shouldn’t leave the resort your staying at because it’s not safe. Sort of like Cuba in the fifties. I don’t know when the American people will wake up to the fact that yes there needs to be some changes in how our government goes about its business but the Trumpster’s not the answer they were looking for. Unless of course you the United States to become a combination of pre Mandela South Africa and Nazi Germany. Well we survived another dire prediction of the end of the world on Saturday and we’re barely surviving the Trumpster’s run as President. This week he took on athletes who kneel in protest during the National Anthem. I don’t feel that it’s disrespectful and I doubt those doing it feel they’re being disrespectful. What I feel is disrespectful is the way the Trumpster uses the office of President to push is policies of diversion on us. There is no doubt in my mind that he is a white supremacist but I believe he uses these wild statements to hide the fact that he is up to now a failure as President. He can turn things around if he can control his ego if not we’re in a world of shit. In North Korea we have a mini Trumpster with an ego as large as the original. At present they’re throwing insults and threats of total destruction at each other which is really scary because on one hand we have mini Trumpster that has absolutely has nothing to lose and the dick in the oval office that doesn’t understand the stakes. The one thing that might save us is someone with some brains explaining that a war now will not guarantee his reelection in 2020. He thinks because he doesn’t believe for a minute that we could lose in a conflict with little North Korea, that the win will make him a national hero and insure reelection. Not true because a victory next year will be forgotten and all that will remain are pictures of the devastation caused by war and the dead American soldiers. Not only that but other countries might take sides or at least advance their own agendas while we’re busy fighting and celebrating. Remember that line from the song “WAR WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.” The Trumpster might be a complete joke as President but remember he is the President and as President he and his giant ego (the only thing giant about him) can still get us into more trouble than we can handle. All righty then let’s get the show on the road. You all know I’m 17 and a ½ years old that makes me about 83 in your years and my buddy fats well he’s a young 71, so together we’ve been around for a long time, we go back to the days when you didn’t know everything instantly. There were only newspapers and they were just as biased as today’s news the difference is the bias showed up on the editorial page not in how the news was told. There were advantages to not knowing everything; for one thing it helped keep the anxiety level low. You weren’t constantly being bombarded with sensational headlines or so called yellow journalism. We have William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer for the way the news is reported today. The two of them were so greedy to control the newspaper business back then they would do just about anything short of murder to get you reading their paper over their rivals. That extends to today’s news agencies which may criticize the so called scandal sheets but are just as bad. Today news agencies pay for those cell phone videos which can be taken out of content since there just a miniscule version of the story. Now don’t get me wrong they help get the story out there just sometimes a little too fast. The last really great investigative reporting was the Washington Post on Watergate. Even that venerable institution along with others like the New York Times have lost some of their credibility by taking sides in politics rather than staying neutral and allowing us to make up our own minds.
They say people were happier years ago and that may be very true. That would lend some truth to the expression that ignorance is bliss. This is the old guys Flounder and Fats saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Well another week in the bag and what a week Hurricanes, North Korea and of course the Trumpster. Well I don’t really want to write about any of that stuff so I won’t; instead I want to write about Artificial intelligence and the end of the world. Two of the great minds out there Elon Musk and Steven Hawking have said the greatest threat to the future of mankind is Artificial Intelligence and I’m one of those people who happen to agree for a variety of reasons. I remember when the Terminator movies came out and everybody don’t worry that could never happen. This wasn’t the first movie about a computer taking over the world they had been making ever since the computer was invented. One of the closest to the Terminator films is Colossus the forbidden project from 1970. One common thing in these computers take over the world is the lack of human empathy or emotion in the computer. In most case it believes that the only way to save the planet is to kill off the human race. Well about the time of the first Terminator movie what was known as Bell labs in Whippany New Jersey developed a computer chip that could learn from its mistakes. This is actually how Sky Net in the Terminator movies starts its reign of terror. The two things about Artificial intelligence I don’t like are first it will replace humans in the work place so know what do we do with all these unemployed people. In case you doubt this take a look at what robotics has done to replace humans in such industries as Auto and Steele manufacturing. My second reason is that if we give an unfeeling electronic brain the ability to repair and replace itself it won’t take long for it to become what is referred to a sentient and at that point it will realize how self destructive humans really are and you know what happens next. In scientists minds the great desire to accomplish that which hasn’t been done yet can lead to serious miscalculations on what happens when you do accomplish it. Unforeseen consequences like what happens in the story of Frankenstein are not out of the question. Also our continued dependence on computers to more and more of what we consider mundane thought process’s will have a continuing effect of dumbing down the population. When was the last time you saw a waiter add up a check without a calculator. Well this has been a strange week a lot of ups and downs for me at least. The downs were hurricane Harvey and the damage it caused, that idiot of a Presidents response, a huge fire in California, and North Koreas missile launch. The ups for me were I got to spend a couple of days with my wife and my niece Janet and her friend Sandra. We spent a day taking Medellin’s famous cable car up to about 9000 feet. Had a great lunch in the hotel at the top then came down so she could meet Ruby’s sons Hader and John as well as John’s wife and Ruby’s to grand kids Natai and Hari. So it was a great day on Saturday we went shopping for souvenirs for them and I’m not the world’s best tag along with those kinds of things but we once again had a fabulous lunch I tell everybody I’m not going to eat again till Tuesday. Now today were just lying around the house resting.
One of the things I saw this week once you got past all the news people trying to get people to say or do something stupid was a story I read on face book where a person made an observation about how all races and nationalities were just helping those who needed it without checking their ID or citizenship or the color of their skin. This is a sad reality that it takes something as horrible as massive flooding and damage from a hurricane to bring people to the conclusion that we all need each other. The really sad thing that in a week or two they’ll all go back to what is now considered normal. The police will star checking Id’s immigration will become an issue again and well you know the rest. I will never be able to understand how this works. You know on day everybody is pulling together to save each other and the next the name calling comes back. It doesn’t help when you have a leader that has no idea what the word empathy means and is only concerned with his own agenda. It would be great if the state of Texas woke up tomorrow and said Wow we really need each other and color and nationality don’t mean a thing. Well I can dream can’t I? Tequila has been around since the 16th century and is named after the Mexican city of Tequila. Eighty years later around 1600 Don Pedro Sanchez de Tagle the Marquis of Altamira began manufacturing Tequila in the modern day territory of Jalisco. King Carlos IV granted the Cuervo family the first license to commercially make Tequila. His grandson Don Francisco Javier insisted “there cannot be Tequila where there are no Agaves!” His actions resulted in Real Tequila only allowed to come from the Mexican State of Jalisco. A class of Tequila known as extra Anejo or ultra aged had a bottle sell for 225,000 dollars in 2006 by a company called Tequila 925. The bottle was displayed I a platinum and gold display and is the Guinness world record as the most expensive bottle of Tequila ever sold. You may have heard of Mezcal and its worm the only liqueur allowed to be sold with that name. The worm is added as a marketing gimmick and is actual a moth larvae which destroys agave plants. Here are the various classes of Tequila
Blanco also referred to as white or silver aged less than two months in stainless steel barrels.
Joven, or young unaged silver Tequila with caramel coloring, oak extract and glycerin or sugar syrup.
Reposada (rested) aged min of two months but less than a year.
Anejo (aged or vintage) aged one year but less than three in small Oak barrels.
Extra Anejo aged min. of three years in oak barrels.
All Tequilas to be served traditionally should be accompanied by Sangrita a mix of OJ, Tomato juice and hot chilies.

I’ve been doing a lot of history reading this week trying to figure out where it all went to shit. Now I know everybody is screaming when they elected the Trumpster. No I think it goes back way further than that. I use to think it started with Nixon and his desire to destroy the middle class, but I think it might go further all the way back to the founding fathers. That far you say; yes I think so. You may not be able to see this but our country and its constitution were brought about by elitists. You know people who think they know more than everybody else or as we like to call them today politicians. Now when you have a government formed by people like that you’re going to have a lot of hidden agendas. Now I don’t claim to know what all those agendas were but I think you can see some of them coming to the forefront in today’s headlines. The first is that white people are superior to others. We know this is not new we saw it when the first explorers got here and decided that the natives had to go. We committed our first act of genocide back then. Something we have gone to war with other countries when they did it and yet we’ve done nothing to help the Indian regain his place in this country. As you study our history you’ll see that we have a knack for using minorities when it fits the white agenda. Now some people are going he’s saying he thinks blacks have a case. Well yes they do not as big as the American Indians but yes they have a case. They were brought here as slaves not found here and almost killed to extinction. When we discuss racial issues or immigrant issues we seem to forget the American Indian. Well let’s get back on point. The elite of this country have been planning it’s take over since the beginning and now they have a do nothing congress and senate and a President who is delusional with an opposition party that hasn’t got a clue. This is what you would call a perfect storm. People are desperate for someone to take control and when people get desperate they do and say things that they feel will get them to that safe place. You saw it not too long ago in Venezuela where a desperate poor population grasped on to what they thought was a savior in Chavez and instead they ended worse off than before. The Trumpster sold himself as a savior but instead brought hate and confusion. When he eventually leaves he will leave in place a group of elitists who have a mandate of the people to save them.
