HUMANS NEED HELP

This morning I saw this story on the news down here where the Farc had stopped an oil truck convey and made them poor 5000 barrels of oil out I to the environment. The photo accompanying this post is an actual news photo of the damage. What was surprising about this story was that this happens with a regularity that is amazing. You have to search the news and it usually comes from some other source other than Colombia but you will find that almost every week there is an attack on the oil pipe lines by the Farc. That is why the government is willing to make so many concessions to the Farc at the peace table. The Farc is costing them money lots of it. Does the Farc who says that their fighting for the poor people realize that what they did yesterday will prevent that land form being used for years to come? Do they realize that every drop of oil that hits the land is polluting the environment for years? What is it with you humans you go to war to preserve a way of life, you say you want to save the environment but you’re constantly trying to destroy it. No wonder people believe that someday in the future you’ll destroy yourselves. Look at that picture again and tell me how the Farc and ELN are fighting a revolution for the peoples of Colombia and that the violence will stop with a negotiated peace. Colombia wants a truth commission after the peace talks with the Farc are concluded. The problem with that is like the quote from jack Nicolson’s character in a few good men “You can’t handle the truth”. Now you sit there and say what does he know that we don’t know? The answer is nothing absolutely nothing. Ok how can you say that we can’t handle the truth? By looking at the people who want the commission and they are politicians and the one thing you’ll never get from the politicians is the truth. First they’ll lie and say they are protecting hence the quote above. Then they’ll tell you a story with half truths and years later when it won’t make any difference they’ll let the truth out. But getting back to the quote if all the truth about the Farc’s revolution was to be told you’d would see the influence of organized crime not only on them but on the government as well. Now we know that even the peace talks are all about money and that the truth is none of the negotiators give a shit about the people most affected by the vilolence and that would be the poor people. If the Farc was to go into Bogota and attack the headquarters of a major corporation or bank do you think that they would still be around. No the government would have had to send a major force out to destroy them, but if they blow up a small police station in the country side then they can stand around on TV and say how outraged they are and in reality do nothing. If this was to come out in some truth commission hearing the results would probably topple the government. But what do I know I’m just a cat this is Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia.
DOESN’T LOOK GOOD FOR PEACE

Just read some articles about the Colombia rebels (FARC) wanting to kill ex President Uribe and the Attorney General. Now if the Farc really wants peace how is that there negotiators in Cuba have no clue about this? I always thought that the negotiators never represented the people living and fighting in the Jungle but instead were just looking out for themselves. There were a bunch of recent photos showing them parting on a yacht while the people they supposedly represent were living the jungle and attacking oil and power lines in the Colombian country side. If the story about the planned assassination is true then the peace talks should stop and International warrants should be issued for the arrest of members of the FARC and Colombia should step up military operations against them. Now you know I like to think outside the box so here we go. Suppose the Santos people released this story or maybe the Uribe people did to garner support in the coming election. If Santos is responsible it gives him an excuse to stop peace talks temporally to investigate the story. That way he doesn’t have to worry about the FARC propaganda machine trying to get more than he wants to give and possibly affect the outcome of the election. If Uribe did it, it helps him in his desire to see the Peace talks scrapped and the FARC destroyed militarily. But as everyone seems to think the plan is real then the talks are a joke because obviously where the FARC are concerned the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. In this scenario the loser will be the people the winner will be the politicians. This Flounder saying CIAO from Colombia.
