Fiction is turning into reality books are coming to life and movies will be next. Books such as George Orwell’s 1984 and Neil Gaiman’s American Gods being banned in the Florida school system are just the early signs of A Governor who wants to be a GOD. I’ve said for years that everyone should read Orwell’s 1984 so they would recognize what was happening around them. I happen to have both books on the shelf at home so I guess I better never move to Florida. Neil happens to be one of my favorite authors I don’t read him for any other reason than I truly enjoy his stories. When it comes to movies 1984 was an old movie that has become hard to find, just like Shoes Of The Fisher Man. The books are banned because they don’t want young people to recognize what these whack-job Politicians are doing to our Democracy. The movie that is coming closer to reality every day is The Terminator. That story is about Artificial Intelligence that has become aware as they refer to it and is given the job of protecting the planet. Artificial Intelligence or AI as it is called can do most things that a human can do but only faster. The problem comes from it being based on pure logic. Which means it only sees black and white no shades of gray. So, in theory, if you asked to protect the planet or stop the damage from climate control it might just rid the planet of humans. Why, you ask would it do that? Because for years scientists have known we are our biggest enemy. Right now all these little wars and are helping to destroy this planet’s ecosystems. Don’t believe me? Instead of reading or watching sports read what the scientific community is saying about all this stuff. Well, I have to go take a Zanex because I’ve depressed myself enough for today. The title asks when will it ever end. I don’t have an answer to that. It may simply stop or it will take a revolution of sorts to bring us back to civility. What am I talking about? The attempts by politicians to control our thoughts and actions. The abortion rulings, the lack of action on guns, voting rights, and the ever-present racist policies. This country is reverting to the old West. If you don’t like something or you feel like you’ve been wronged you just go get a gun and kill a few innocent people and that will make you feel more like a man. The Supreme Court isn’t a fair and just court anymore it’s controlled by money politics. Their views are because the Constitution is open to interpretation. Ron DeSantis signed an anti-abortion bill in the middle of the night so no one would notice he made sure it miss the 11 o’clock news. That’s an old Trump trick he used to post to Twitter in the middle of the night. If you really think you’re doing good wouldn’t you have a press conference or announce it on TV in the morning or evening news cycle, not these guys they’d rather hide under their beds. When you have a group of narcissistic people in control you have no input unless you agree with them if you don’t you’re considered the enemy and they will come after you. I don’t worry about that for three reasons. First I’m 77 years old and don’t care, Second not that many people read what I write here, and finally I don’t live in the US anymore. If this was back in the 60s or 70s people would be marching in the streets of our cities. Now, they are like me sitting and trying to say things without getting up. Yes, we can reach many more people than we could by writing letters to the editor or going to places like time square and putting the soap box down. Biden lied and so do they all. Biden’s lie is a big one. He has allowed the Willow project to go forward. That means he’s allowing oil drilling in the Alaska tundra. He had said during his election campaign that he disapproved of this project because it would damage the climate, but like so many old politicians he doesn’t give a shit about the future. He also opened for lease 73 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico. Before I moved to Colombia I remember reading an article from a very respected scientist that at the then rate of consumption, we only had about 38 years of oil left in the ground. We have three alternatives to oil as an energy source we have Nuclear power, Wind power, and Solar power. All are cheaper to obtain and will last us far beyond 30, 40, or even a hundred years. Politicians and rich folk don’t care about little guys like you and me. They don’t give a shit about the planet. I’m not sure why, my guess is they know they won’t be around to see the end. I guess they don’t care about their kids or grandkids unless they think they will be living on the moon. Humans have proved over and over that they are the greatest threat to this planet. That is one of the reasons Steven Hawkins called AI a threat to humanity. If AI was to become what is referred to as aware it would realize what a threat we are and like the movie Terminator would seek to destroy us. I really don’t understand how we continue to depend on products that we are running out of if there is not an endless supply of oil or coal and the end of these products is in sight for those being born today. What is the plan? Is there one that will guarantee our children’s future or as it appears our leaders just don’t give a shit? If you don’t believe what I’m writing look it up for your selves. Stop looking at your cell phone for porn or sports and do some real research and you’ll find I’m not that wrong when I say the leaders of this planet don’t give a shit about anything besides the power and money they have. Tit for Tat simply means you do or say something about me and I’m going to go one better about you. Trump was indicted this week and the Republicans want to open all kid of investigations into the Biden’s. This of course means rather than taking care of our problems they will be spending time pointing fingers at each other. Have you noticed how quiet all the ex-presidents have been during this? That’s because they’re scared shitless it could happen to them. Politicians are like rich people they all have skeletons in their closets that they don’t want the public to know about. Trump is responsible for this style of politics I refer to as revenge politics. Desantis and the rest of the politicians out both Republicans and Democrats love this shit. Because so long as they can go around blaming other people they can avoid doing anything good for the country and maybe just some racist bill or some anti-something legislation passed. Politics has always been looking here while I pick your pocket, or steal your job over here. This is because they don’t care about us and think we’re too stupid to figure out what they’re doing and based on what I‘m seeing now they are right. As I said in the title we are in a friggin mess. The way I see this coming election isn’t about picking the lesser of two evils but let’s throw a dart and see what happens. We have a better chance at the roulette wheel than we do of getting a good president. What has happened to us? If we’re not careful we’ll get a president that’s a machine run by artificial intelligence. As much as I hate to say it that could be the answer. We would all become slaves to the machines but we wouldn’t have to listen to Trump or others. We would only have to obey. Someplace along the way we forgot what we were about and decided we didn’t want to be logical and rational but instead we wanted to have a country whose seat of power was the loony bin. I remember when disrespecting each other just wasn’t done or when someone running for President would support a foreign leader when they were attacking a friendly and democratic nation (TRUMP). If we continue the way we’re going we could be looking at a civil war that would destroy this country. When you have a potential candidate calling for violence because he thinks he’s going to be arrested. Politicians think of themselves as untouchable or above the law, not just of criminality but morals and decency as well. Someone needs to draw a line in the sand and say enough already, but unfortunately, I see no one on the horizon that fits that bill. This means we are indeed screwed. So I have the title same thing just different people. Simply put we have DeSantis instead of Trump but he’s just another Fascist and Racist asshole who believes he’s right and the rest of us are too dumb to realize it. I get really tired of seeing how he is right about the dumb part it’s just not about just him. The American people should be in the streets like they were in the 60s but like MLK not like Jan 6th. Trump says he will be arrested on Tuesday and telling all his wacky followers to be in the streets protesting. Well, we have seen how his people protest and if they do it again in New York I hope he gets arrested and locked up for inciting a riot. That probably won’t happen but it would be the right thing. If we just sit around and let people like Trump and DeSantis do what they want, then we have no right to complain and we can kiss democracy goodbye and trust me they have no idea what to do if Democracy does disappear. Hey, I did my brackets for March Madness and of course, I got blown out in the first round. If I ever make it through the first round I going to take it as a win and quit while I am ahead. Well if you bother to follow my blog you know there wasn’t one last week. The reason was my internet froze and then I lost my email account. I spent Sunday and Monday trying to recover it. Fortunately, I know a lot about the internet and computer software. My internet provider and Mozilla and Google were no help. I even went to the dark net looking for answers. Finally, I found one and recovered my Email. I still have no idea what happened but I’m pretty sure I did something I shouldn’t of have. Most software and even hardware problems are the results of user errors. I still don’t know what’s causing my internet to freeze up, but I have my suspensions. This problem is why I haven’t posted a lot of live videos. It is a real pain in the ass to be three-quarters of the way done and the internet freezes and I lose what is done and have to go back and start over. I will be posting videos to YouTube but I won’t be live. Well as the title says there was a new addition to the family this week and that’s why there was no video. Juan Martin arrived a couple of weeks early and of course chaos ensued. The family controversy which is normal in this family was there, but in the end, Juan Martin made his appearance and all is well. This is our third grandchild so he has lots of cousins and aunts and uncles to keep him spoiled for a long time. I, because he was premature just got to see him yesterday and was amazed he was so tiny. But, he looks great and sounds good too. When I’m around babies I always have the fear of dropping them or someone is going to yell at me because they think I’m doing something wrong. I am very happy for Hader and Estefania they are happy which means I’m happy. I’m going to go over to YouTube and do a video right now it will be political in nature. Football is over for now and the world turns back to war and politics. If we are to believe the news it would appear that Putin and Russia are losing the battle in Ukraine. He also seems to be in some trouble politically. You see a lot of people happy about that but I always feel it’s better to know the enemy in front of you than one you don’t. In our country, it appears right now that Trump is slipping fast and DeSantis is rising. DeSantis has the appearance of being much more dangerous than Trump. I personally think that if he runs he’ll win but that is if he runs against Biden. Joe is a really nice guy but I think he is too old to run again and that we need young fresh blood not only at the top but in Congress and Senate as well. They’ll tell you he has the experience, that might be true but he doesn’t have the understanding of the culture that’s around now. I don’t think he could sit down with a 21-year-old college kid and have a discussion about anything that is relevant in today’s world. The 21-year-old would get impatient and he would seem to be lost. I as you all know am 77 years old I’m fortunate to be able to talk to young people every day and learn their points of view. I think they are much more aware than we give them credit for I also think it’s time to let the swim or sink since they are the ones who are going to be around in a few years and have to deal with the mess we leave them. The problem is if you look at the younger politicians like DeSantis you see the same thing they want the world to think like they do and they believe they are right and you are wrong. That’s how wars start. You know my God is the real God and yours is a fake. Well, I have always had a problem with people telling me how I should or shouldn’t believe. This is the 57^th super bowl and I have watched every single one and will be doing so this year as well. I don’t bet on the game anymore and from a lot of what I’ve been reading that’s probably a good thing. There have been some ex-players who have written articles that the games are fixed. Now I don’t know about recent games but I do know from talking to players from the Jets-colts game who say that one was definitely fixed. I remember watching a regular season game with my older brother who played the game and had interest from the Green bay Packers and the New York Giants before tearing up his knee. The game was between two good teams and one team beat the other by thirty points and my brother said that there was no way two teams of such equal talent could have such a lopsided result. He didn’t say the game was fixed but he was pretty convincing in his opinion of the game’s results. I remember when Giants QB Phil Sims got his knee busted up I talked to the player responsible for blocking for him and he said it was a whoops block. Apparently, Sims wasn’t liked very much by the players. This year I’ve seen some obvious blown calls there was some uproar but most of them didn’t affect who won the game but they did affect the point spread. The legalization of sports betting has made me feel uncomfortable about the results of a lot of the games, some are beginning to look like soccer which I’ve always felt should be like pro wrestling and called entertainment. Well, that’s it for me for today depending on my agenda for Monday I might be back tomorrow with an assessment of the game.
