Is there a true leader out there or are we just rehashing all the old crap. I think we’re rehashing the old crap and that is very dangerous for the country. Let’s take a peek at what’s out there. First up is Joe Biden the incumbent. Nice guy a good man but a little too old for what we need right now. Then there is Donald Trump. Also old but also exhibits other mental health problems a dangerous man to put in control of nukes. If something happens to Biden we get Harris we don’t know what we will get if something happens to Trump. I don’t believe either situation would be good for the country. There aren’t really any choices on the Dem’s side and the Republicans have DeSantis and Christie and a bunch of others who want to move away from Democracy. There is another one who happens to be a Kennedy but I think all he can accomplish is to give the election to Trump. He doesn’t follow the Kennedy mantra of “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. He seems to be more of you owe me type. Now in most elections lately you are asked to choose between the lesser of two evils. That’s right most people thought Trump was the lesser of two evils when he ran against Hillary. He may have been but it was a close call. I would like to see in the next couple of months someone come forward that would give us a real choice and help get this country and the world back on track. I did one of my rambling videos on YouTube yesterday so I thought I’d just keep rambling here. When you start talking about greed you tend to associate it with the rich or politicians. That’s not true greed exists in all walks of life and in all species on the planet. True it’s most noticeable in humans. We use it to get things we want or in some cases to simply survive. Have you ever seen homeless people fight over living space or food it happens all the time have you ever been in a Walmart on Black Friday? It is not a pretty seen it has been described as humans at their worst. Politicians use greed in their lies to motivate people to vote for them. I’ve seen greed my whole life. I learned how people lie later in life like everybody else. I was chosen to run for democratic county committee right after the Kennedy assassination. There was a big move to get youth involved in politics. The first thing I learned was they followed the old rule that young people should be seen but not heard. But I also listened and watched and saw “Best Friends” throw each other under the bus with lies. After a couple of years of this, I left the party and didn’t vote again for 22 years. Nothing had changed but I wanted to show my disdain for lying scumbags. I did manage to find a couple of pretty honest politicians along the way they gave me hope, then of course along came Trump and destroyed that. Trump is a prime example of a greedy lying scumbag. It makes it hard to talk to young people to work for the future when all they see is despair. Well, it is football Sunday I need a break from all the Bullshit so I’ll just say this has been LUCY and FATS saying CIAO from Medellin Colombia.

Well they caught or I should say found the latest mass shooter. He was dead from a self inflected gunshot wound. I’ve often wondered why these guys find it necessary to go around and kill a bunch of people before they shoot themselves. I’ve heard one theory is that when they’re done they are so distraught by what they have done they take their own lives. That would make a little sense. Going out with the plan to kill a bunch of people, many of whom they don’t even know, and then kill themselves makes no sense to me at all. His choice of weapon and ammunition would suggest he wanted a confrontation with law enforcement, but he ran. I am not a shrink and I doubt a shrink could give you a reason that made any kind of sense for what his guy did. Many years ago I broke up with a woman and considered suicide, but after giving it some thought said NAW. This guy according to people who were there had a plan to kill a bunch of people and then run away, I think that since he went to two different places tat he was looking for his ex to kill her. One thing I know is that no reason’s going to make it OK for the victim’s relatives. It will never make any sense to anyone, but it will make for a TV Doc. And fodder for all those shrinks out there as they try to come up with an answer. I’m glad he’s dead if they had captured him it would have cost taxpayers millions to keep him alive. Lucy and I were out walking this morning and a thought entered my mind. Has there ever been an age of peace? I mean we’ve had the Bronze Age, Stone Age, etc. so have we ever had the Peace Age. The answer so far I can see is no. so it would seem that the wars that are going on now are more or less normal everyday stuff for the human race. Not a great look for a world that likes to think of the future. This was something that helped bring forward the Hippy movement a movement that I’m happy to say I’m still a follower of. It amazes me after reading all the history we were required to in school that the human race is still standing. If you are a believer of the Bible you can see we have reached the point of no return. Do you believe that or are you more of an optimist? People tell me I’m a pessimist. I like to think of myself more as a realist. That means I think that if change we will survive but if we keep going in the direction we are going without significant change the human race won’t be here in 10 years. Humans have a problem when it comes to choosing leadership. We seem to always look for the perfect choice but can never reach a consensus on what that perfect choice is. I don’t have to go into great detail about our choices history will explain better than me. Do I think there will come a time when we all get along maybe, but not in my lifetime. It’s going to take something great and special to bring mankind together permanently. As of now, I don’t believe it can happen. Now I guess my friends are going to say see he is a pessimist. About 80 years ago the UN split the area of Gaza into two entities, Palestine and Israel. They have been pissed off ever since. I can’t remember there ever being full peace in the area and the US had nothing to do with it at the start it was the British and then the UN that started this mess. The Christians blame the Jews and the Jews blame the Christians. The reality is either they are both to blame or neither is to blame. I don’t think that until time travel is invented we’ll know for sure. Religious difference has been responsible for millions of deaths in the world. The situation is getting out of control because now you throw in jealousy and greed and have a cocktail for the world’s destruction. You know the age-old question “ Why can’t we all just get along?”. Well, this is kind of the explanation. You remember the “ My dad can kick your dad’s ass” playground routine in grade school. Well now you have a group of adults with Nuclear weapons standing around saying the same shit, and you thought being an adult made people smarter. If people took the time to see how much could be accomplished if we cut this bullshit out maybe, and that’s a big maybe, we could have a world where we built hospitals for our elderly and not Nuclear Bombs to destroy everyone. As the title says the shit has really hit the fan. The Palestinians invaded Israel now comes the biggest moment in Biden’s political career. He must make decisions involving where we put our support and how much we give. You have the Ukraine on one side and the Israelis on the other each one of those involves many other countries on both sides. Add to that the complete chaos in Congress caused by the MAGA’s Republicans and you have a recipe for the shit hitting the fan. Now as you know if you want answers and solutions this is not the blog for you I just give opinions of my own. Right now the only idea I have is that we could be really fucked. From a military-political point of view would would be a bad idea to get really involved. We need to get a negotiated deal as fast as we can. That doesn’t seem likely the way all parties are talking right now. Also, take into account that the invaders are supported by all our enemies, and our position is not supported by all our friends or even all members of our Government. So what are we to do? Well, if I had the answer to that I could become emperor of the world. No matter what we do things are never going to be the same, that could be a good thing. Biden may not be your choice for President but having one of the Maga’s or Trump in charge would see the end of this country as we know it and it wouldn’t be a good thing. Unfortunately, neutrality in this situation is not a choice we can make. So hold on to your self this is going to be a rough week. This is FATS and LUCY saying CIAO from Medellin, Colombia.

Well, they aren’t going to shut down the government for 45 days but now Gaetz wants to oust McCarthy. This self serving moron has his own problems but wants to gain control of the house. This is a Trump style move to ward off his possible ouster. One thing you should be very aware of is that this is the most do nothing congress ever. If these people that we put in office don’t stop the Bull shit and start getting something done, then this could very well be the end of Democracy. If it is nothing will change they still won’t be able to get anything done but it will allow criminals to run the Government. You won’t have free speech or free press. No one will be looking out for your rights, crime won’t rise because there won’t be laws. If you can get unbiased information you will be able to see crazy people taking revenge on those who they think have wronged them. In Trump’s case, that’s all of Congress and the Justice system. I’m willing to bet that Trump will welcome Russian and Chinese troops to our shores and we will have to fight on our own land to protect our rights if we want them. You think this can’t happen look at the idiots you’ve elected to govern you. Look at the people that you want to lead us. You want to know why we’ve never been contacted by aliens.? They’re not crazy enough to get involved. They’ve been around longer and they know how this will end. Sound crazy I sure hope it is but it doesn’t look good. You know I’ve been trying to figure out why people are so eager to accept lies from others. The number one person is of course Trump but he’s not the only one. Now it seems people are jumping to accept Artificial Intelligence as well. The late Steven Hawkins said before his death that AI is the biggest threat mankind faces. He was considered to be the smartest man in the world at the time. I made a comment on politicians and posted it everywhere. “I always thought that politicians serve at the will of the people, but I guess we’ve lost our will.” that pretty much describes my thoughts on the rapid acceptance of AI. If you’re an avid reader of fiction, such as Jules Verne, you know it can become nonfiction overnight. In the late ’70s, or early 80’s I’m not sure when Bell, Labs in Whippany NJ Invented a chip that could learn from its mistakes. This of course is similar to what happened at the beginning of the Terminator story. There were other movies going back to the 60’s such as Colossus, War Games, etc they all say once we put AI in charge and it learns to think it will discover that this planet’s greatest enemy is Humankind. Artificial intelligence’s biggest drawback is it’s not human it thinks only in Black and White without empathy. Now this doesn’t help explain why people are willing to believe that AI is the greatest and that Trump is always telling the truth. Somewhere along the line liberty and the ability to think independently have become uncool. There are millions of people out there embracing the idea of a future similar to the Hand Maids Tale or Orwell’s 1984. if you haven’t read either of these books I suggest you do so you won’t be that surprised when you start to lose your free will. When I say we might have a little problem here I might be understating the problem. I’m referring to the 2024 election and a possible Trump vs. Biden rematch. I think it could be a distinct possibility that we could have two candidates wearing depends and trying to remember their names. Trump is already showing signs of possible dementia and I’m pretty sure Biden won’t be far behind. I’m 77 and I can tell you there is no way I can think as fast as I could when I was 50. so what does this say for the country? One, we have grown bored with our leaders, Two we are getting dumber as a population, or three we screwed up and this is our punishment. All three are possible, which is an even bigger problem for us. This keeps me up at night, am I really just seeing this, or has it been here all the time and I was too dumb to recognize it. Look at Florida for a moment growing up it was always thought of as a retirement home for old JEWS. Now it resembles a boot camp for Nazis and other extreme groups of bigots.How did that happen? Was Mickey a closet Nazi or did he just start boozing and didn’t give a shit. How does shit like this happen? Have we grown so complacent that we are willing to let the past repeat itself or do we not give a shit anymore and just care about are tee times and what games are going to be on TV this weekend? Our complacency has allowed for everything to be politicized. Look, I get tired of writing about our faults just like people get tired of hearing about them. In the USA it’s fall down here it’s just another 90-degree day. We should be in the rainy season but somebody forgot to turn the rain on. It’s very tropical now, hot. Humid and no rain. I see it’s very hot in America and I will tell you from experience that this is not the weather you want to play football in. You can do serious damage to your body and brain and not realize it until years later. Players can lose over ten pounds in a game and that may seem great to some people but it puts a terrible strain on the body. But my real complaint with the game is all the betting sites involved in sponsoring the games. With 78.5 million people betting on football the odds against the games being completely honest are very high. There is far too much money involved in the game now and at the pro level, it takes the fun out of the game. Don’t worry I’m still going to watch games but when I can predict what’s going to happen on the next play I’ll switch to Tennis.
