The title says age is history. Well, your history starts the day your born and continues till the day you die. Rather them talk about my own history I’m going to talk about what I have witnessed and experienced. I remember watching what was refereed to as New Reels, back before TV, and seeing the Korean war. That was followed by the Viet Nam war, the first war that was fought on TV. I remember Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays. The Dodgers In Brooklyn with the Giants. I remember Althea Gibson the first great female and black tennis great. I remember when the Olympics would come around they would talk about Jim Thorpe the Best Athlete to ever live and an American Indian. I remember Roger Maris hitting number 61 and Hank Aaron hitting number 755. I remember them putting a mike on Giants middle line backer Sam Huff and pro football took off on TV I remember Arthur Ashe, Agassi, Connors, Natassi, Jimmy Mac, Billie Jean King and all the rest of the Tennis greats. I Remember the Moon Landing, the Oklahoma city Bombing, Wade vs Roe and the assassination of JFK , the attempt on President Reagan and the Twin Towers coming down. Remembering all these things I can’t help but feel that we haven’t really learned anything. Well that’s it for me this Sunday, still trying to get the internet straight so I can be live on YouTube.
