See that guy smiling at the top of the page just goes to show you how delusional politicians can be. President Santos currently has a 21% approval rating and I’m guessing their member of his political party or close relatives. His remarks about there being no national protests and everything was normal reminded me of another politician who uttered some really stupid word “Read my lips no more taxes). If his opponents (assuming he tries to get reelected) don’t use his word against him then their dumber than he is. Politicians never cease to amaze me with their arrogance and how they think the electorate is so stupid that they have no idea what’s going on and these guys (politicians) think they can just keep on doing dumb stuff that makes them rich and the rest poor. Santos is also trying to make peace with the Farc. I have no idea and I don’t think anybody outside the negotiations has any idea what he might be giving to the rebels. It is fairly sure that the people want peace but they also want these guys punished for what they’ve done. Most of the population has or knows somebody that has suffered from this long war but Peace just for the sake of Peace is not something the people will accept. But President Santos is completely invested in this process and if it fails not only will he not be reelected but probably won’t be able to live in Colombia.
