Flounder the cat
November 7, 2011
The holiday season is beginning down here now with the street crews out hanging the lighted decorations on the light polls on the main streets. The department stores have had their Christmas displays up for a couple of weeks now and the small shops have taken down the Halloween displays and replaced them with Christmas ones. You see down here they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so there’s no reason to put up fall displays or Thanksgiving displays so everybody just goes into Christmas mode. Down here that means cooking in the streets for family and friends and then sitting around eating and drinking. There are no 3 or 4 star restaurants in Bello if you want a sit down restaurant with wait staff you have to go the exit mall and go to an Italian restaurant called Forno, it’s really pretty good. There is plenty of really excellent food available in the local store front places all around town I’ll name the various local dishes and describe them as soon as Jeff learns how to spell them and Ruby gives him all the ingredients. Hopefully by next post. They did go back to Nachos restaurant tonight for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes as well as the presentation he’s gotten rid of his partner and maybe that’s the reason for the improvement. He seems happier but Jeff told him he should remember how hard this business can be he has the busiest part of the year coming up. There will also the potential for conflict when the family gets together for the various parties. Well let me go and bother Jeff for those food names and I’ll get back to you later.

Make sure some of there recipes are for those nutty veggies out there
