OK I know its Thursday and I didn’t write anything yesterday because NOTHING HAPPENED. I got Jeff and Ruby’s plans for the weekend Saturday their going to this lake area that has a lot of history Pablo Escobar lived in the area at one time so that should be interesting I’m sure Jeff will have photos next week. Sunday their going to El Jefe’s house for lunch some of the family members will be there too so more pics for Facebook and here. The weather has been humid and hot and with Ruby’s menopause life hasn’t been easy for Jeff, she tends to just leave me alone. Jeff is working on a good rant for next week probably it deals with some stuff down here so be forewarned. I don’t have anything else right now but it’s early so I might have another post later today we’ll see in the mean time CIAO.

Tuesday Jeff still has a cold and now I’m sneezing THANKS JEFF! Still nothing going on today is Mauricio’s birthday hope he stays safe he’s a good kid. They’ve been installing new security in the apartment building and I have to tell you Jeff could have built a new building with all the hammering and drilling going on plus the house is covered with red brick dust, that can’t be good for anybody. The second half of this month will really be busy first we have Hari’s 2nd birthday then El Jefe’s and then Jeff, Ruby, John, Vanessa and Hari will be moving to new digs and on the 29^th Jeff and Ruby will be celebrating in year in Colombia. So thing will be getting a little livelier around here, not that I’m wishing for that but this blog has been getting pretty boring lately. OH,OH here comes Hari so it’s time for Jeff to go and Me to hide CIAO.     

It’s Monday and me and Jeff have head colds ugh: Last night they watched John Carter of mars and found out why the movie did so badly first I don’t think a lot of people read the books by Edgar Rice Boroughs when they hear his name they only think of Tarzan and if you did read them like Jeff then you know they don’t follow the book. When Jeff doesn’t like a science fiction movie you know it has to be bad or dumb this was just bad, pardon me I have to wipe my nose, OK I’m back We hate colds because they ruin your plan s for the day and make you just want to lay down and sleep. Nothing else went on yesterday as everybody laid low because of all the birthdays coming up, that’s it I going to bed CIAO.  

Sunday and who cares Jeff and Ruby went to Medellin with John and Vanessa yesterday to get Hari’s birthday gift a electric ride able Thomas the Engine. It looks pretty cool; I just hope it’s not too fast, because you know he’s going to chase me around with it. Last night they celebrated Juan Pablo’s birthday with the traditional ice cream he looked like he had a good time. He brought his new portable video game with him and he loves it (maybe a little too much). While they were there John said he had a surprise for Jeff, who immediately protected his balls, but it turned out to be a really nice and unexpected surprise. It seems Vanessa’s mother had to enter a photo contest and couldn’t find any pictures to send in, so he daughter came up with the idea to use one of Jeff’s photos and sense it had to be about real life she sent the one in below. Now Jeff doesn’t think he’s a great photographer but he does think Vanessa has great artistic sense and for that he glad because the photo won FIRST PRIZE in the highest class. Now you know if Jeff had picked the picture he wouldn’t have one so he thinks Vanessa should share in the prize. Now I have no idea what’s in store for today I imagine it will be pretty quite around here sense everyone was out last night. As for me Jeff and Ruby kept me up last night watching some dumb movie with a dumber ending so you know I’m headed for nap time CIAO.

Can you believe FIRST PLACE

It’s Saturday so let’s get controversial and talk about UFOs, Unidentified Flying objects or Flying Saucers, now first question do you believe and the answer is yes we do. I think it’s ridiculous with the billions of star systems out there to say that were the only intelligent life out there. So is there any other proof other then odds to say there’s something out there? Yes we have found cave dwellings that depict humanoids wearing what could be described as space helmets’ and hieroglyphics that depict god like creature coming from space. The Learning Chanel and the Discovery channel are good places to start if you have an open mind. Those that don’t believe usually fear the unknown or afraid to panic people once it becomes known that there are others in the universe that may or may not look like us. Jeff agrees with the recent opinion expressed by the Learning Channel that we may actually be the product of some DNA experiment in evolution conducted by Aliens, the purpose of which is open for conjecture. We’ve heard of alien abductions and those that don’t believe say why would they take people from rural areas why not take a top scientist or politician? Our theory is first they are advanced enough to know they want nothing to do with politicians and if you’re trying to find out how a race is progressing along the evolutionary chain you would want to check the DNA in the lower or average individual rather than the highest ones, the highest ones would be exceptions to the evolutionary chain. We think they’re waiting to see if we can overcome our self destructive tendencies or are we doomed like one of the older races to destroy ourselves before we can reach our true potential. Pretty farfetched don’t you think, well I’m just a cat and I believe you know we cats see thing humans can’t and our ancestors have been around longer. Not only that we were once considered gods, maybe were really here to observe you humans and your bad behavior, you should really treat us much nicer just in case. Along those lines I’m going to make Jeff fluff my pillow so ii can take a nap CIAO.

Hey its freekin Friday and the weekend is here Jeff and Ruby will be helping Juan Pablo celebrate his birthday and I don’t know what else is going on. America is in full presidential campaign mood but I don’t think really care right now there to busy trying to pay their bills and put food in their mouths so not much going on up there nothing really stupid or funny ii the headlines. It’s been so hot around the world nobody has the energy to be stupid. Politics in Colombia is pretty much the same as in the US all the politicians are calling each other crooks and liars and nobody is paying that much attention down here either. TV is boring all repeats same as the US except for the series on Pablo Escobar which has a couple of inaccuracies in it noting to big. Hope everybody had a safe and happy Fourth of July didn’t see any real bad reports there was one from San Diego where something happened and all the fireworks went up at once that must have been cool to see. Well it’s starting to get real hot right now so I’m going to hide out in Jeff’s closet until the sun goes down see you tomorrow CIAO.

Welcome to Thursday it’s cloudy and boring what to talk about let’s see Jeff niece Janet has a birthday on the seventh but he’s not sure if it’s Friday or Saturday. He’s undecided because of the time difference in Japan which is where his niece is now. Now you see what we go through around here trying to come up with interesting topics so you guys won’t just delete this when you see it in your e-mail. This is like trying to write a book and not have your reader lose interest and toss it in the garbage. Speaking of books (like how I did this) Jeff’s book is now a hundred and forty pages long, he just might finish it his year. It’s Science Fiction or at least it will be if science doesn’t pass him by while he’s trying to finish the dam book, he finds it easier to write this blog than the book this is already almost two hundred pages. But of course he has me to help with this, he should ask me to help him finish the book I would make it interesting at least. What do you guy think should I help him or just let him struggle along. While you ponder that thought I’m going to take a nap CIAO.

July fourth is not a holiday in Colombia and this will mark Jeff’s first fourth without fireworks, but he could always start an argument with Ruby and then you’d really see some fireworks. Jeff and Ruby went to the Bank early this morning to do their monthly thing, now the bank is the Poplano section of Medellin this is where you go if you want to buy a Porsche or Mercedes. So you get the picture it’s an area that’s got some money, well on the way back they were at the Metro station getting an Empanada for breakfast when Jeff looked up at these young guys setting under a tree, they were lighting up what in America would be called a fat boy, that’s a big joint to those unfamiliar with the term. Marijuana is illegal I Colombia but you can walk down the street with a bale on your shoulder and you probably won’t get stopped, it’s one of those laws that cost too much to enforce. It’s similar to America if you look like a nice guy they won’t bother you if you look sneaky like a dealer they’ll arrest you. Well Jeff thought they were just celebrating America’s birthday so he gave them a smile and a wave. Listen all you people celebrating up there be careful and try to remember why this country was started mean time I’m going to take a nap CIAO.

You know how Jeff likes to pick on headlines well here’s another one Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes getting divorced reason might be Scientology. I think the true reason for the divorce is Katie finally realized cruise is nuts. Now I don’t blame Scientology for Cruise being nuts I think that stated long before he got involved in the religion, it just encouraged his insanity. I guess you can tell Jeff doesn’t like Tom Cruise he also has his doubts that scientology is a real religion and not a cult. Scientology was started by L Ron Hubbard who you might remember from Dienitics fame, I don’t think he intended for the religion to develop into what it is now I think he honestly thought he could help people. The religion is somewhat scary in its secrecy it acts more like a cult with its indoctrination of children at an early age by its Sea Org group. They also don’t like people talking negatively about them and have caused people who do a lot of grief. But sense I’m a cat there’s not much they can do to me, besides they’re the ones that let Tom in so that pretty much speaks for itself anyhow Jeff just thought he’d bring it up as one of his food for thought topics see you guys later I’m off to catnap land CIAO.

Rainy Tuesday Morning

I just got done listening to a sound check for Allison Steele of WNEW fame and I got Jeff to thinking about all the old DJ’s that were responsible for the beginning of Rock and Roll. I hope some of the names we mention and pictures bring back some memories or at least enlighten some of the younger readers as to who really made Rock and Roll. First up the man who was first to use the words Rock and Roll to describe the new form of music that kids were listening to in the early fifties. The time was 1954; the place Cleveland OHIO, the song Bill Haley and the Comes Rock a Baby Rock thus began the music that’s still with us today. The next big thing in Rock and Roll was probably Wolf Man Jack who use to broadcast the music from Mexico, on what was maybe the first Pirate Radio Station in the world. Then there was Murray the K and his famous submarine race watching program from NY. These were the first really famous DJ’s and the sad thing they all died broke Freed was said to die of a Broken Heart.Then of course there was Cousin Bruce who’s still around somewhere I think he started on WINS but I’m not sure the next big thing in radio was WNEW the first station to play album cuts, you know the songs that were too long for top 40 radio they introduced the country to what people called Psychedelic music The DOORs, Jefferson Airplane. King Crimson among others and they also brought together some of the most educated and poetic DJ’s ever Allison Steele. Scott Muni, Rosko, Jonathan Schwartz and Pete Fornatale, there are many, many more and I regret not mentioning them if you remember some or I left out a favorite leave a comment. Today’s music is all about dance music the classic album music is left to the oldies stations, which of course are Jeff and mines favorites. Time for me to get some rest all this talk of the old days is making me tired CIAO
