Flounders great food adventure

Ok I got the names and some of the ingredients and I sorry Val but they aren’t vegetarian first up is Sancocho this is one of the dishes that people cook for family get togethers it’s cheap and you make as much as you want. You start with chicken stock and then you add chicken or beef or both, potatoes, corn, yucca, plantain serve with rice. Next is Mondongo which is a soup, Bandeja Paisa it has beans, rice, and meat. Ajiaco a soup with chicken potatoes and corn. Moreilla which is like a sausage. Now this is more traditional for the holiday’s natilla which is served with Hojulas a thin corn bread and of course Empanadas sort of fried ravioli filled with just about anything you can think of also Arepas something like a cross between toast and a pancake and finally Sudado more rice meat and potatoes. As you can see I don’t have all the recipes for this food yet but it pretty much boils down to country cooking like Cajun without the spices everything gets cooked in one pot for the most part and you better like rice and beans if you want to eat down here they’re served with just about everything. Like I said earlier people will get some bricks and wood build a make shift wood burning stove and cook out in the street this time of year.Oh Oh nap time

Thanks for nothinbg Flounder
